“The middle-of-the-road approaches allow learners to interact with the content” (Moller, 2008). I really do think I am in the middle of the static-dynamic continuum. I already use blogs, wikis, discussion boards and videocasts in furthering my education. In my classroom where I work, I also use Smartboards, digital cameras, podcasts and various software programs with my students.
As stated by Leslie Moller (2008),” The dynamic end of the interactivity continuum includes tools that involve learners on a much deeper cognitive level. ” I can begin to move toward the dynamic end by first learning more about the different kinds of technology that are constituted as being dynamic. I can also incorporate some of these technologies into my classroom with my own students. Consistently using them will make it more easier to manage and teach to the kids.

Carol I am in agreement with the statement, that by learning more about the different types of technology considered as being dynamic, that we will be able to move forward toward the dynamic end of the spectrum.
ReplyDeleteGreat mind map! Very creative and informative. I also must agree with you that I Am at the half mark. I feel as if I need to incorporate some of the methods learned in this course and about technology as a whole in my classroom. Then I can say that I am making steps to moving to that dynamic mode continuum.
ReplyDeleteConsistency is the word! I find that when I do not visit a technolgoy for a period of time, I lose the information. Great mind map, by the way!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to add, after viewing your mind map that it is very creative and informative. Love the use of color!

ReplyDeleteYour mind map looked great. It was easy to follow and presented great information. I must agree that I am also in the middle ground, trying to utilze more dynamic means but often fall back to the more comfortable static ones. I have used Skype to collaborate with peers as part of my Walden classes, but would much rather use a cell phone or landline. While I understand the rationale behind it, if one has unlimited minutes, I don't really see the point for national calls.
